The Unity Democratic Club seems to be set heading into primary season later this year. That is except for one important race. That is the state Assembly seat long held by Jeffrey Dinowitz.

To the Editor: Who is Benjamin F. Jackson, and why would he be trying to unseat Democratic Party District Leader Ramdat Singh? Ramdat is a founding member of the largest and most active Democratic political club in our community — the Unity Democrats.

A program that connects diverse leaders in the city from varying religious and ethnic backgrounds with mentors completed its inaugural fellowship in December.

Jackson smears founding members of the Unity Democratic Club for allegedly not condemning a certain anti-Israel organization.

To the Editor: Hats off to our local elected officials for strongly and swiftly condemning Hamas’ barbaric slaughter of Israeli civilians. The show of unity from all our local Democratic Party leaders, from Ritchie Torres, Adriano Espaillat, Jeffrey Dinowitz, Eric Dinowitz, and Gustavo Rivera all the way down to our local Democratic District Leaders was impressive and heartening.

Many on Saturday woke to shocking footage on their TVs of buildings in Israel tumbling apart from Hamas missiles and women and children being kidnapped and tortured by Hamas militants.
