Ranchi University (RU) has submitted its self-study report (SSR) to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for grading. The report was prepared for a period of five academic years from 2018-19 to 2022-23. The NAAC team will visit RU for peer review of the facilities mentioned in the SSR. RU aims to secure funding from UGC and Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan based on the NAAC grade.

Three members of the Aman Sahu gang were arrested by the anti-terrorist squad (ATS) from Patratu area of Ramgarh district. The arrested miscreants were identified as Vikas Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, and Mahtab Alam. Two country-made pistols, 21 cartridges, a motorcycle, and two mobile phones were seized.
