Colleges continue to fine-tune dining halls and menus to cater to all their customers — including those who may have felt left out.

In the wake of COVID-19 and the “Great Resignation,” Campus Dining and Shops is trying to "rebuild" its pre-pandemic staff and increase staffing on nights and weekends.

With a staffing shortage and supply chain issues, University at Buffalo had to adjust its dining halls service levels.

In a special meeting on Tuesday night, the Galax School Board voted unanimously to wait on beginning in-person classes again, but will let student athletes take part in the winter season as long as CDC and state guidelines are followed. Galax schools will remain virtual until at least Jan. 15, and COVID-19 case numbers will be reviewed at the regular Jan. 12 board meeting before making any further decisions.
