Officials at the Wayne County Courthouse announced through their app that those with a May 4th court date will get contacted for a new date. The case involving the individual who originally plead guilty to the murder of deputy Sean Riley continues. 41-year-old Ray Tate appears via zoom in Wayne County Court. Court documents say discovery is continuing in the case. A status hearing is set for May 4th. Tate is currently serving a life sentence after originally pleading guilty, but is currently attempting to withdraw his plea and get a new trial.
