The Nova Scotia government is hoping a new toll-free appointment rebooking line will cut down on the number of people who miss appointments for diagnostic procedures such as X-ray, ultrasounds and CT scans.

Last year, there were more than 4,600 missed appointments for diagnostic imaging in Cape Breton, along with Antigonish and Guysborough counties.
