Wildlife crossings offer animals an alternative route across busy human traffic and help to alleviate some of the risks they face.

West Bengal has once again set a precedent in conservation efforts by establishing two new Biodiversity Heritage Sites (BHS) in East Midnapore.

Christmas Island, in Western Australias far northwest, has been overrun by millions of mischievous Red Crabs as they turn up in classrooms, shops and homes during their yearly migration.

Some locals were left with no other choice but to use a rake to sweep away the crabs as they swarmed the roads on their journey from the jungle to the coast of Christmas Island.
