Neighbors came to the aid of a reading circle at Red Ink Community Library in Providence, Rhode Island, after a mob of neo-Nazis attempted to disrupt the event, leaving one person with a bloody lip. The event continued despite the attack.

A reading of the “Communist Manifesto” at a socialist library on the East Side of Providence reportedly drew neo-Nazi and fascist protesters on Sunday night — and the response of a half dozen police cruisers.
