A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the Hanes Mall shooting that occurred earlier this month.

Winston-Salem police arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile Tuesday in connection with the May 10 shooting at Hanes Mall, authorities said.

The Winston-Salem Police Department has concluded its investigation into a shooting at Hanes Mall earlier this month and arrested a second suspect.

Shooting at Hanes Mall terrified shoppers aware of its reputation - deserved or not - for being a hot spot for police activity.

According to police, on Tuesday around 1:50 p.m., officers responded to Hanes Mall on a reported shooting inside the “common area" of the mall.
