China's heavy investment in education lays foundation for national development
How have Chinas developments been reflected in its education sector over the past 70 years? There is a large volume of data to consider- from the 1,799 kindergartens across China in 1950 to 267,000 in 2018; from a 20 percent enrollment rate in elementary school in 1949 to 99.95 percent rate in 2018, and from a 0.26 percent rate of higher-education enrollment at the beginning of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China to 48.1 percent in 2018.
