Beginning next week, fourteen downtown South Bend restaurants will participate in a two-week special many have come to know as Restaurant Week.
In its 10th year, Restaurant Week was created by the Downtown Dining Association and Downtown South Bend, Inc. as a way for restaurants to collaborate with one another and to entice customers to come to downtown South Bend and try locally-owned restaurants that they normally would not. The hope, then, is to create an impression with guests that will bring them back often. Restaurants create specialty menus for the event that are priced at $11, $22 or $33.
SOUTH BEND This month s Wine Walk in downtown South Bend will be held Wednesday.
Twelve participating downtown South Bend restaurants will provide three wine or beer tastings paired with three food tastings.
The event will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and, as in 2019, attendees must purchase tickets through Eventbrite and wristbands must be picked up before the walk starts. Cost is $40; $25 for designated drivers.
Participating restaurants include Aloft Hotel, Café Navarre, Chicory Café, Cinco 5, Howard Park Public House, Ironhand Wine Bar, LaSalle Grill, LaSalle Kitchen and Tavern, Render Meat and Potatoes, Spirited, Studebaker Brewing Co. and Tippecanoe Place. LaSalle Kitchen and Tavern and Studebaker Brewing Company will offer beer samples.
