The Dhaka stocks bounced back today after experiencing a mild correction a day before while the turnover of the premier bourse crossed Tk 900 crore after a break of two and a half months.

The stock market index fell today although the proposed budget for 2022-23 fiscal year recommended cutting corporate tax by 2.5 percentage points for listed companies except bank, insurance, telecom, tobacco and non-banks.

Stocks in Bangladesh dropped for a second consecutive day yesterday while turnover of the Dhaka bourse also fell, with investors showcasing an inclination towards booking profits. 

The prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped for the second consecutive day today.

The Dhaka stocks fell today again after rising for two days when the turnover hit a one-year low.

The stocks failed to maintain the previous day's rising trend today as it again fell 1.35 per cent due to a confidence crisis among investors.
