RERA in Gurugram rejected Godrej Developers extension application due to non-compliance with the Act. The project faced rejection despite multiple reminders and warnings against third-party rights and property bookings.

The Authority in an order said that despite many reminders, the promoter of Godrej Air phase 4 project failed to rectify the deficiencies in the application, including the renewal of the licence and details related to bank balance provided in quarterly progress report (QPR) and CA certificate had a mismatch.

The move comes after Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HARERA) made a recommendation to the secretary DFS to issue instruction to all banks to ensure compliance of RERA norms while allowing withdrawal of funds from RERA accounts by promotors of real estate projects.
