Oxford High School to return to virtual learning as 200 students are being quarantined, school officials confirm.
The shift to remote learning is in effect through this week, and officials hope to return to in-person instruction on March 22, according to the school website.
“This week marks one year since the onset of the pandemic and we are all growing weary of the protocols and restrictions,” a message on the school website reads. “Our current situation should serve as a reminder to us to remain vigilant as we are still in a precarious situation endeavoring to maintain face-to-face instruction in all our schools. We can do this, stay the course!”

CINCINNATI â Cincinnati Public Schools will resume in-person learning five days per week for all schools at the end of March.
The return to in-person learning will start districtwide March 31, after CPS spring break. Walnut Hills High School, which has remained virtual throughout the pandemic even as the rest of the district used a blended learning model, would be phased in by grade level to learn new safety protocols.

The DPSCD said there are not enough teachers who are willing to go back into classrooms to meet the demand.
An estimated 40% of the roughly 50,000 DPSCD students have opted to return to classrooms for in-person education, but only 20-30% of teachers have agreed to teach face-to-face.
Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti estimates only 1,000 students will have full face-to-face instruction.
