The Humboldt County Fair Association received a $1 million loan from the county to fix the stands. The fixes are ready for racing action to occur when the fair opens next week.

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors were split Tuesday over writing a letter in support of a state senate bill that would divest public employee retirement funds from fossil fuel companies. The board voted 3-2 to write the letter in support of SB 252 during a meeting.

The restraining order request contains transcripts Aunna Bollmann's several lengthy calls to 2nd District Supervisor Michelle Bushnell and 1st District Supervisor Rex Bohn, in addition to statements where she threatened to kill the entire current Board of Supervisors, several former members of the board, Sheriff William Honsal, the entire Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office, county counsel’s office, Fortuna Police Chief Casey Day and many others. 

The grand prize People’s Choice winner will receive a $1,500 cash voucher.
