Looking for a 1980s automotive star for your contemporary GM customization passion? Then perhaps Chevrolet’s G-body Monte Carlo series might be a great fit. It’s certainly a flexible one.

Named after the namesake coastal community in California, a big part of Chevy Malibu’s fame is thoroughly owed to the auto enthusiasts' community love for the G-body iteration from 1982 and 1983. So, here’s a perfect example from the era.

North Carolina lawmakers passed a bill to impose major restrictions on the “Carolina Squat,” a phenomenon that involves jacking up the front of a truck or SUV while keeping the rear end low, causing the vehicle to look as though it’s “squatting.” It seems that most people hate the Carolina Squat trend, but I feel differently.
