And today thousands of Kaiser Permanente nurses walked off the job across Northern California in a two day protest. And as kpix 5s ryan takeo tells us, they say one reason is that kaiser is not ready for ebola if it comes here. Reporter nurses say the kaiser system is not prepared for ebola. So thats one of the big reasons why theyre striking. The other side says its a pr ploy and a scare tactic. [ people chanting ] because if we were actually presented like i was presented to take care of an ebola patient, i want to know i have the adequate training and equipment that i can safely care for them. That confidence isnt there . No. Reporter as many as 18,000 kaiser permanent tea nurses are protesting across the state. Theyre calling for more training including getting ready for ebola. The other side says the nurses union is a using ebola as a
