PRAIRIE GROVE -- A pasta bar will take center stage Saturday, Dec. 2, for a benefit to raise money for two historic buildings in downtown Prairie Grove.

The Prairie Grove City Council voted 7-1 last week to make an offer to purchase the vacant land next to the police station for $325,000 and also approved the preliminary plat for a new single-family residential subdivision off Butler Road.

PRAIRIE GROVE -- The City Council approved a resolution last week to authorize Mayor Sonny Hudson and Public Works Director Chuck Wiley to apply for a low-interest loan from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission to help with costs to expand the sewer treatment plant.

The Prairie Grove Farmers Market is trying a Tuesday night market on a trial basis, and the first one on July 12 was considered a success, organizers said.
