In a Idaho Supreme Court opinion Tuesday, convicted murderer Gerald Pizzuto was restored his death sentence from killing two people in 1986.

Gerald Pizzuto Jr. had requested to have his sentence for killing two people in 1985 commuted to life in prison.

Gerald Pizzuto Jr., who fatally beat a man and a woman with a hammer near McCall in 1985, is dying of bladder cancer and is no longer a threat, his lawyers say.
