Jordan Pugh, now 19, 'deliberately' pushed Christopher Kapressa, into the River Cynon in South Wales in 2019 a coroner's court heard.

Christopher Kapessa had been playing near a river in the summer of 2019 when he was deliberately pushed into the water by Jayden Pugh in what the coroner said was a 'misplaced sense of fun'

The inquest has been taking place at South Wales Central Coroners’ Court in Pontypridd.

Christopher Kapessa, 13, died in River Cynon near Fernhill in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales in July 2019. Witnesses said that another boy, then aged 14, had pushed him into the water.

Assistant coroner David Regan found the 13-year-old had been deliberately pushed into the water "in a misplaced sense of fun, namely as a prank".
