Reports have been swirling that a DeLuca's Pizzeria will be a part of the Breckenridge Village Shopping Center revitalization. Jim Keet of JTJ Restaurants, one of the partners who bought the center at North Rodney Parham Road and Interstate 430, confirms that "while we don't have a final signed deal" with owner Anthony Valinoti, "it's 95% a 'go.'"
A few area restaurants have retreated to takeout or curbside service only in the wake of the covid-19 wave and the impact of the delta variant on levels of nervousness among customers and restaurateurs. Many have not, but this week we're erring on the side of extreme caution (a phrase that has not yet lost its pandemic luster) and are getting our meals mostly to-go.

Though we ve been able to once again focus on dine-in experiences in recent weeks, we have not abandoned our time-to-time to-go travels around the area. And amid a surging number of covid-19 cases that might be making some folks a little nervous about returning to sit-down dining, we re once again taking to the road this week.
