This followed the death of John Paul Odonwodo, professionally known as Junior Pope, on Wednesday in Anambra State.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the indefinite suspension of any film involving riverine areas and boat riding. The suspension followed the death of the famous actor, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope drowned on Wednesday after a boat accident. One other person identified as Mr Friday is also dead while three bodies have not been recovered.

The move follows the tragic incident of boat mishap that claimed the life of Mr John Paul Odonwodo aka Junior Pope and four other crew members at the waterside of River Niger Cable point Asaba on 10 April 2024 on a movie set titled ‘The other side of Life’ produced by Adanma Luke.

Jnr Pope Odonwodo was confirmed dead on Wednesday night.
