DOZENS of seals were spotted relaxing in the Spring sunshine waiting to find the perfect partner as mating seasons begin. Around 20 female common seals were seen on the banks of the River Roach, near Potton Island, with the mammals all waiting for a male seal to swim upstream. A Rochford pub which was hit by floods has been left with water damage after a nearby reservoir burst its banks. Fire crews were called yesterday (January 14) around 11am to the Horse and Groom pub - based on Southend Road - with reports it had been flooded.
