THERE are plans to turn a countryside pub near Ludlow into a house as its no longer required, viable or fit for purpose. The owners of The Jolly Frog, near Leintwardine on the Herefordshire-Shropshire border, said they have marketed the pub for rent but nobody sees it as a viable business. River levels have been falling but they are expected to rise again. There are flood alerts in place in the upper and lower Teme catchment. River levels are forecast to rise again at Leintwardine, Onibury and Ludlow on the River Corve river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall. There is flooding of low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Teme, River Onny and River Corve and their tributaries.
