Riverfront Station News Today

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon returns to Nashville on Saturday, April 27 and with that means road closures.

For those trying to navigate downtown Nashville next week, the WeGo Star will run Sunday from Lebanon into downtown for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix.

Tickets are now on sale for WeGo's special event train from Lebanon to downtown for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on August 7. Weekday Star tickets and monthly passes won't be accepted.

WeGo Public Transit is preparing special transit services for Nashville's Let Freedom Sing! Fourth of July event. Regular weekday WeGo Star tickets and monthly passes won't be accepted for the day.

The train will depart from Lebanon at 4 p.m. and make stops in Hamilton Springs, Martha, Mt. Juliet, Hermitage and Donelson before arriving at Riverfront Station at 5 p.m.

Trips on the WeGo Star transitioned to the bus again this week after a different train derailment in Lebanon.

Because the freight train derailment isn't cleaned up, the WeGo Star will operate via bus Tuesday versus train service.

Eleven train cars derailed in Mt. Juliet on Division Street near South Greenhill Road midday on Monday. The scene was declared safe by fire crews within two hours.

A large sinkhole is disrupting WeGo Star service for the foreseeable future.

A train headed for Nashville stopped short of what could have been a disaster on Tuesday morning.
