Operating a food truck requires more than cooking up a burrito or a plate of pad thai and handing it out the window to a customer.

Across the street from Union High School lies a field with nothing in it but an ancient oak tree. But it may not stand alone much longer. By next spring, the field’s owners hope to build a family-friendly food cart complex, Oak Tree Station.
