The New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston was desecrated over the weekend, as a new survey released by the American Jewish Committee shows antisemitism on the rise.

Jews in the US are becoming more concerned for their safety and for good reason. In addition to growing violence, a new way of targeting them is underway. 

The committee named the victim as Rabbi Shlomo Noginski. Boston police confirmed that an adult man was stabbed in the area of Chestnut Hill Avenue and Washington Street at about 1:19 p.m. — but did not name him — and his injuries were not life-threatening. Police say the suspect, 24-year-old Khaled Awad, of Brighton, has been arrested and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on an officer.
