Drier weather should return to Acadiana through Wednesday, but our next weather-maker looks to arrive Thursday, bringing rainy weather conditions into Friday along with another good soaking possible.

The NWS issued a freeze warning for all of Acadiana from midnight through 8:00 am Saturday...and for many, it could be the first light freeze or frost of the fall season come daybreak Friday.

Mostly cloudy skies accompanied by temperatures ranging in the 40s and 50s, and some 30s, will persist across Acadiana through Thursday.

Showers with embedded thunderstorms are expected for Acadiana from the late afternoon into the evening hours accompanied by a low end severe weather risk and some locally heavy downpours.

Acadiana will see a mostly sunny and warm one for Election Day with temperatures nearing the record of 88° set back in 1927 during the afternoon.

After a breezy and warm Friday, the weather pattern is expected to turn stormy for Acadiana after midnight through daybreak Saturday.
