After another nice day Tuesday, changes are on the way for Acadiana Wednesday into Thursday with a nice finish to the week and start to the weekend expected to follow.

A nice, breezy and pleasant weekend is on tap for Acadiana while the tropics remain busy in the Caribbean with the 10th tropical storm of the season forming near Colombia earlier Friday.

Warmer afternoons are on tap for Acadiana for the rest of the week, but a cool front arriving late Friday night will bring a breath of fresh air back to the region for this weekend

Mostly sunny skies with a gradual warming trend is in the cards for Acadiana this week with highs pushing 90° before the week is done.

Acadiana will get to enjoy beautiful and even cooler conditions over the next couple of days while "catastrophic" Major Hurricane Ian works its way through Central Florida overnight.

Acadiana can expect temperatures similar to mid-November Friday morning with the coolest readings in 5 months, while Ian is back to hurricane status and heading for South Carolina Friday.

Acadiana will get a nice taste of some fall-like weather for the rest of this week while it's a different story in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico with a major hurricane.
