The decision comes one month after a non-profit watchdog organization, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, said the campus presented a national security risk and alleged the existence of a “confidential agreement” that...

The Texas A&M Board cited heightened instability in the Middle East as the reason to end its contract with the Qatar Foundation to run the branch campus. The foundation accuses the board of falling prey to a “disinformation campaign.”

Texas A&M University will phase out its Qatar campus and close the doors to the branch campus by 2028. Day-to-day operations and campus services will not immediately change.
