Travis County District Attorney José Garza announced a special grand jury concluded its review of the deadly officer-involved shooting in May 2022.

A man, who has not been identified, was critically injured after being shot by an Austin police officer and Texas DPS trooper in the incident.

APD released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that occurred in southeast Austin on May 26.

Investigators found a gun inside of the truck near where Robert Hammitt was sitting, according to Austin police this week.
