For years, Kevin the pig, Gizmo the cow, and Paco the llama enjoyed the sprawling pastures of Half Moon Bay’s nonprofit animal sanctuary Sweet Farm. But in May, all the farms resident animals took a 47-hour road trip to a new home.

Emerald Hills residents quickly came together to get their animals, including horses and ponies, out of the area when the Edgewood Fire broke out and scorched 20 acres.
