Christy Low has been recommended by an interview panel to fill Adrians soon-to-be available clerk position. Low is Raisin Townships clerk.

Robin Connor has been the Adrian city clerk since 2018 and she has been employed by the city since 2007. Her retirement date is Aug. 31.

There will be a primary election for Adrian City Commission on Aug. 8 because more than six candidates filed for the three seats up for election.

Behnke described himself as a fierce advocate for Adrian’s rich culture and its diverse residents.

“So You Want to Run for City Commission?” was the name of Friday’s seminar, which sought to introduce people to how to run for city commission.

Four organizations have organized the training session to help people understand how they can run for Adrian government boards and commissions.

The hearing at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 is for public comment on special assessment districts for Cherry, Summer and South Scott streets and Maumee Court.

Information provided by the Lenawee County Clerk’s Office shows that 43,198 ballots were cast in Tuesday’s election.

The state of emergency was originally declared by Adrian Mayor Angie Sword Heath July 26 in response to the evacuation of the apartment building.

Six streets in the city of Adrian are slated to receive base stabilization and resurfacing work this road construction season.
