Nabaco Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Brenton Field to vice president of operations. Brenton has vast experience in both the produce industry and the United States Air Force. He came to Nabaco with 30+ years of experience working in produce, most recently with Chiquita and AgroFresh, and prior roles in the citrus and tomato categories, and served in the United States Air Force for 30 years, where he was director of JACCE team 1.

Ever Tru Farms, a vertically integrated year-round supplier of premium strawberries and a division of Soave Hydroponics, is launching Phase Two of its expansion. The farm will expand an additional 15 acres (653,000 SF), bringing the farm to a total of 40 acres of production. The company will begin planting in early August, with harvesting coming near the end of September for the expanded facility.

GT USA Wilmington has recently received its first ever shipment of summer fruit into the Port of Wilmington, Delaware from the West Coast of South America. The citrus fruits were delivered from Valparaiso, Chile to the Port by Capt. D. A. Dela Rosa, the Master of the M/V EVEREST BAY, a refrigerated cargo ship.

Berries Unlimited has released its new Honey Champion (patent pending) honeyberry/Haskap variety, made from 100 percent Japanese origin. The Honey Champion honeyberry plant is wind resistant, not breakable and not fragile during new growth. The honeyberry bush grows to five to six feet tall and is a very vigorous and fast grower.
