Salix Fruits celebrates success at Fruit Attraction 2022

Last month Salix Fruits, which was recently acquired by GrubMarket, attended Fruit Attraction 2022, which was held in Madrid and hosted 1,740 exhibitors from 57 countries. This was the company's sixth time at the event. “This is a fair that is growing a lot. I remember the first time I visited it in 2016 and the growth is exponential," said Ignacio Vidales, sales manager for Asia, India, Canada, and Central and South America of Salix Fruits.

Vee's Marketing pushing sustainably packaged Brown Bag Potatoes

Vee’s Marketing began operations in 1990, and today distributes onions and potatoes all over the United States and Canada.   “We are heavier to retail, but we do some foodservice as well,” said Jason Vee, president of the Superior, WI-based company. “Our volume varies. In the summer, when onions are busiest, we probably do 60-70 loads per week. Then late summer, when Minnesota potatoes get going, we probably do 20-30 loads of potatoes as well.”

Agricola Famosa debuts 'Noble' melons for the North American market

ORLANDO, FL — A line of super sweet, premium melons from Brazilian grower Agricola Famosa made their debut to the North American market at the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show, here. Rodrigo Lima, president of Key Biscayne, FL-based Crown International, the commercial arm in the United States for Agricola Famosa, said the melons are now available at select retailers such as Walmart, Sam’s Club and Costco, with plans for wider distribution in the coming months.
