Calumet Montana announced Wednesday that its refinery in Great Falls will soon become the largest producer of sustainable aviation fuel the U.S.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – At Calumet Specialty Products Partners in Great Falls today, Governor Greg Gianforte highlighted the work of his Red Tape Relief Task Force and pointed to its meaningful results to eliminate burdensome, outdated, and unnecessary regulations tying up Montanans.

Calumet Montana Refining in Great Falls says it will spend nearly $200 million to convert some of its crude oil output into renewable diesel fuel processing, with plans to integrate local farms and ranches and produce 10,000 barrels of the new feedstock product per day starting in 2022.
