Hundreds of vehicles encircled the nation’s capital Sunday, hampering traffic outside the city for hours by driving at slower speeds.

Although it was unclear if the convoy would ultimately enter the capital, organizers said they did not intend to drive into Washington on Sunday out of fears that “bad actors” may turn it into a chaotic event.
