GREENVILLE — The number of visitors won’t be known for sure until the day of the event as those coming to the Moosehead Lake Region for the  total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8 could total in the thousands or tens of thousands. Municipal, county, and state officials have been busy preparing for the high end as Greenville Town Manager Mike Roy explained to the select board during a meeting on March 6.

GREENVILLE — Residents of Greenville approved at a Dec. 6 special town meeting the creation of a multigenerational housing district on Spruce Street.

GREENVILLE — Late last fall a key step was taken toward the creation of a proposed multigenerational housing district on 5 acres on Spruce Street off Pritham Avenue. Via a special town meeting vote, residents approved an article asking if the town of Greenville would accept a land use ordinance amendment to help pave the way for the housing district.

GREENVILLE — In late April 2022 Gov. Janet Mills signed an “An Act To Implement the Recommendations of the Commission To Increase Housing Opportunities in Maine by Studying Zoning and Land Use Restrictions” or LD 2003.

GREENVILLE — The public will have the opportunity to weigh in a proposed Spruce Street housing project with a hearing set for 5 o’clock on Wednesday, Nov. 15 prior to the regular planning board and select board meetings.
