The First Alert Weather Team says the air quality conditions are expected to get worse in the coming days, with the potential to have “very unhealthy” air in the region on Friday.

A University of Michigan facility up north will host a free, summertime lecture series about climate, water, and other environmental topics.

The free events come from the University of Michigan Biological Station in Pellston and will feature scientists, artists, professors and more.
