Rottneros Mill News Today

   Following years of successful implementation of measurement equipment from SPM Instrument, Swedish pulp development and production specialist Rottneros placed an order this summer for one hundred Airius wireless vibration sensors to monitor the mechanical condition of motors, pumps, and fans in the pulp mill.

Rottneros’ Board of Directors has decided to invest approximately 180 million SEK to significantly expand the production capacity of CTMP pulp at Rottneros Mill. It will thus increase from today's 125 thousand tonnes to approximately 165 thousand tonnes at a relatively low investment cost. The investment is planned to be operational in 2024.

Independent Swedish pulp producer Rottneros has given 24 staff at its Vallvik Mill notice of redundancy due to increasing costs, falling pulp prices, and a weaker USD in the long-term.
