JAMESTOWN — Jamestown Regional Medical Center recently joined communities across the nation in celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Week April 21 - 27. The medical center uses the annual opportunity to honor the accomplishment of its volunteers, who dedicate their time and talents to supporting patients, staff and the overall mission of JRMC.

45 blood products were collected at the event. 7:00 am, Mar. 8, 2021 × First United Methodist Church hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Feb. 22 which helped collect 45 units of blood products for patients in need. Fifty-four individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 40 were able to donate at the drive. Five people gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. One person volunteered...
