Auburn University is reportedly offering more than just academic contributions to the state of Alabama. According to a new study conducted by the university, it and its alumni have introduced $6.3 billion into the state economy, while also generating 30,000 jobs in addition to the school's faculty.

“This record grant is a game-changer for Alabama students, and I am proud Auburn’s College of Education and University Outreach will be spearheading the program,” AU President Christopher Roberts said.

Hope Stockton has been named assistant vice president for University Outreach and Professional and Continuing Education in Auburnand#8217;s Division of University Outreach. A member of the Auburn family for more than 20 years, Stockton previously served as executive director for the Office of Professional and Continuing Education, or OPCE, in the division.
