Employees also claim those who earn tips are required to spend "substantial amounts of time" performing non-tip-producing tasks during their shift while being paid less than minimum wage.

The lawsuit alleges that Ruby's restaurants paid "tip pool employees" less than federal and state minimum wage and used the "tip credit" to comply with their minimum wage obligations.
