Sow far, so good
In response to the uncertainty surrounding these saplings, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre has called for a sapling audit. According to the forest department, they have planted 1,02,848 saplings in BBMP limits, while 7,26,767 were sold to individuals, presumably for self-planting. In total, a staggering 8,29,615 saplings are expected to be planted in BBMP limits.
