Nine senior State Bank of India (SBI) executives are in the running for the position of managing director at Indias largest bank, after the previous postholder joined the Reserve Bank of India in June. The bank has four managing directors, all of whom are board members and in charge of separate departments. Candidates must have completed three years as chief general manager and deputy managing director, and a minimum of two years residual service.
