In the last month theres been a series of Project Titan patents that have come to light and yesterday the US Patent & Trademark Office published yet another one relating to smart lighting systems. In this patent, Apple describes a semi-autonomous vehicle and one that is described as an "autonomous robot – vehicle" with no human passengers.

On Thursday, the last patent application day of the year, a new Project Titan patent was published by the U.S. Patent Office that covers electronics packaging and specifically to packaging of control components in a vehicle electronics architecture.
