An international airport is deploying a dog-like robot to scare birds and other wildlife from encroaching the runway.

The Aurora Boston Dynamics robot is being trialed as a nonlethal, nonchemical deterrent to prevent hazardous encounters between planes and wildlife.

A headless robot about the size of a labrador retriever will be camouflaged as a coyote or fox to ward off migratory birds and other wildlife at Alaska's second largest airport, a state agency said.
