The No. 8 seed Florida Gators (35-19, 11-13 SEC) beat the No. 9 seed Kentucky Wildcats (29-19-1, 8-14 SEC) 6-2 in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament Thursday afternoon at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. 

The No. 16 Florida Gators (38-14, 11-11 SEC) defeated the No. 23 Kentucky Wildcats (28-19-1, 8-14 SEC) Friday evening in John Cropp Stadium. 

With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, senior Princess Valencia stepped into the batters box for her first at bat as a Kentucky Wildcat and singled through the right side to score Kayla Kowalik as No. 20 Kentucky walked off Eastern Kentucky 10-2 via a run rule Wednesday night at John Cropp Stadium.

The No. 6 Tennessee Softball team beat No. 17 Kentucky 10-2 in six innings Saturday to secure the series thanks to a six-hit offensive performance and 4.1 innings in the circle from Karlyn Pickens.

No. 10 Georgia hit three home runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat No. 16 Kentucky 4-3 on Sunday night, securing the series and winning their 11th-straight game of the season.

A five-run seventh inning, including two home runs propelled Texas A&M past Kentucky, 14-13, in game one, followed by the Aggies run-ruling the Wildcats, 10-0, in game two, in Saturday’s doubleheader at John Cropp Stadium.

No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies were unsuccessful going for the series sweep in Sunday’s 10-2 loss to No. 11 Kentucky at John Cropp Stadium.

After mercy ruling Bowling Green on Wednesday, the Wolverines look to topple a ranked opponent this weekend.
