Two years after locals went to the city of San Diego with complaints about what they called poor maintenance, they say there has been 'a noticeable change.'

The La Jolla Shores Association approves use of the beach for the La Jolla Cove 10 Mile Relay, agrees to donate $500 for a new shade sail at Kellogg Park and hears updates on landscape maintenance.

New plants were installed Feb. 4, to be followed by a magnolia tree, according to the San Diego Parks & Recreation Department.
