The three corporate owners of a troubled Little Rock apartment complex were each ordered Monday to pay $1,000 in daily fines after Pulaski County Circuit Judge Cara Connors held those behind Big Country Chateau in contempt for failing to turn over financial and ownership documentation to the receiver selected to run the 151-unit complex.

Little Rock City Manager Bruce Moore on Tuesday said officials are attempting to find a third party that can help move the remaining tenants out of the troubled Big Country Chateau apartment complex.

About 30 residents remain in the 151-unit complex; a receiver will not file to evict any of them, his attorney says.

Currently no plans to sell the property or evict tenants, according to mortgage holder and third-party receiver.

The troubled Little Rock apartment complex known as the Big Country Chateau has been issued the maximum fine for 30 code violations in Little Rock environmental court.

A Little Rock deputy city attorney on Thursday asked a judge to impose the maximum fine on the owners of the apartment complex known as the Big Country Chateau for 30 life-safety code violations that were identified during an inspection last year.
