FloydFest and Across-the-Way-Productions officials announced Thursday that the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality approved Hill Holler LLC’s Stormwater Management Plan for the development of FestivalPark on Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Approval of a stormwater management plan clears the way for next years music festival in the Check community of Floyd County. An environmental group says the project still requires consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and a federally approved habitat conservation plan.
